From the occasional spot to breakout-prone skin
A blue light spot treatment for active breakouts
Solo's blue light at 415nm triggers a natural photodynamic response that destroys the bacteria behind breakouts at the source. In clinical study, this produced a 65.5% reduction in inflammatory lesions at day 90.
Visible clarity in as little as two weeks
A blue light acne treatment for face, back and shoulders
As a CE marked Class IIa medical device, Solo is indicated for use on the face, back and shoulders, wherever breakouts appear. It's the only device in the Lustre range classified as a medical device rather than a beauty tool.
Use wherever breakouts appear
A blue light therapy device for on-the-go treatment
Solo is hands-free and wireless, so once it's affixed and switched on, you can get on with your day. Each single-use LUSTRESTRIP keeps it securely in place for the full session.

How we tested this
Solo's evidence comes from two different kinds of study. A consumer user trial of 240 people (167 completing) tracked how their own skin felt and looked over four weeks. Separately, a two-centre clinical trial assessed 23 people under clinician supervision, recording lesion counts through to day 150. No side effects were reported in the clinical study.
Pure Blue Light
One wavelength, medical-grade results
Solo uses a single precise wavelength, chosen to trigger a natural photodynamic response that destroys acne-causing bacteria at the source, with no UV exposure and no irritation.
415nm
This precise wavelength is what makes Solo a blue light acne device that targets bacteria without UV exposure.
15 LEDs
Fifteen individual blue LEDs, all on a single control board, cover the treatment area evenly.
CE marked Class IIa
The only device in the Lustre range classified as a medical device, not just a beauty tool.

Safety, suitability and contraindications
Skin type suitability
Solo is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. In rare cases, blue light can cause temporary darkening of the skin in darker skin tones; this is a known, transient effect.
Pregnancy & photosensitivity
Solo hasn't been tested in pregnancy, so check with your doctor first if you're pregnant. The same applies if you have porphyria, solar urticaria, chronic actinic dermatitis or another photosensitive condition, or are taking amiodarone or another photosensitising medication.
Age restrictions
Solo is intended for home use by anyone aged 13 and above. It's not recommended for children under 13.
Storage & care
Store Solo away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It won't operate while connected to its USB-C charger, so unplug it before each session. Don't use it over a suspicious or cancerous lesion, or over or near a recent steroid injection.
